Peeps Microwave Experiment
Each student made a prediction before completing this experiment:
They each thought the peep was going to melt and loose its form. They were surprised to see the end result!
Before we put the peep in the microwave it was 2 1/2 inches long.
After we put the peep in the microwave it was 4 inches long.
The peep expanded in the heat and grew almost two inches.
Sink or Float?
Each student made a prediction on if the peep would sink or float?
The Outcome: The peep FLOATED!
This is due to its light weight.
